Dry skin can be problematic. In most serious cases, dry skin can be itchy and scratchy. Even on a more minor level, dry skin can leave your complexion looking dull, feeling flat – and in serious need of hydration.
Managing Dry Skin
Dry skin isn’t always a result of a condition, such as dermatitis or eczema, either. If you live in a colder climate or during the winter months, dry skin is often more prevalent.
Managing dry skin doesn’t need to be difficult, though – none more so than coping with oily skin or sensitive skin. The key to developing a skincare routine for dry skin is choosing the right products, and following some simple steps that will leave you glowy and hydrated.

Skincare products for Dry Skin
When it comes to washing your face, make sure you choose a gentle cleanser that contains hydrating ingredients. Harsh facial cleansers made with strong fragrances can dry your skin out even more. You want a cleanser to remove dirt and oil without leaving the skin feeling too tight or dry.
Once your skin is clean and refreshed, and following application of your targeted serums and oils, we’d recommend applying moisturiser straight away, or even before the skin is completely dry. If your skin is sensitive as well as dry, always choose fragrance free skincare products as this will reduce the chance of irritating the skin. Our Daydream Whipped Moisturiser is fragrance free, as well as being dermatologically tested. It provides hydration for up to 72 hours when applied, so is excellent for soothing and reviving dry skin.
For an extra moisture boost, use a serum that contains hyaluronic acid such as Thirsty Skin serum. Hyaluronic acid helps to retain the skin’s natural moisture as well as helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
At Bondi Sands, our Everyday Skincare range has been tested by real people and created with the input and help of trusted skin experts, so you can buy with confidence. Shop our range of Everyday Skincare essentials here.
DailyBodycare Routine
First things first – check your bath or shower routine. If you love a long, hot soak in the tub for 30 minutes, or indulging in a leisurely shower with the heat on high, we have news. You need to turn it down, both in terms of temperature, and time. Bathing and showering for long periods of time, in hot water, won’t do dry skin any favours. Water that’s too hot will inevitably cause redness and irritate dry skin. Too much exposure to water will only dry skin out further.
So, shorter showers and baths, in water that’s warm rather than hot. Your skin will thank you for it!
When it’s time to dry off, take care. Instead of rubbing away vigorously with a towel, pat yourself down gently and moisturise all over with our Bondi Sands Body Moisturiser.
Super hydrating and enriched with vitamin E and jojoba, our gentle moisturiser will leave your skin feeling smooth and radiant.
