Q. What does SPF 50+ mean?
A. SPF or ‘sun protection factor’ is a rating that refers to a theoretical amount of time you can stay in the sun and be protected without getting burnt, compared to unprotected skin. For example, all Sunny products are SPF 50+ which allow you to stay in the sun with less risk of sunburn for fifty times longer than you would if you weren’t wearing sunscreen. Direct sun exposure can change the texture and elasticity in your skin, which can cause the appearance of premature ageing like wrinkles.
Q. What is very high protection sunscreen?
A. Very high protection SPF like Sunny refers to sunscreen that will protect your skin from both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays are those that reach the middle layer of the skin (the dermis) and can cause skin to age, while UVB rays are linked to the burning of the outer layer of the skin (the epidermis).

A. Ultraviolet A (UVA) is light that is around all day, year-round. Even when it’s cloudy, UVA can penetrate the middle layer of the skin (the dermis) which plays a major part in skin ageing and wrinkles. It can even penetrate through glass windows!
