A. Every day! Sunny Spritz SPF 50+ Face Mist is a gentle mist that’s easy to apply and perfect for sunscreen on the go. Throw it in your work and beach bag for when you need a quick and easy suncare solution every day.

Q. How soon before sun exposure should I apply Sunny Spritz SPF 50+ Face Mist?
A. Apply Sunny Spritz SPF 50+ Face Mist liberally and evenly at least 20 minutes before sun exposure, and re-apply every 2 hours, or more often when sweating, swimming or towel drying.

Q. Is Sunny Spritz SPF 50+ Face Mist water resistant?
A. Our Sunny Spritz SPF 50+ Face Mist has not been tested for water resistance. We recommend re-applying all suncare products at least every 2 hours, or more often after swimming, sweating, exercising or towel drying.

A. Yes! We strongly encourage wearing sunscreen daily because even during cooler months or on cloudy days, UV rays can still reach your skin. Simply choose which Sunny product you’d like to use, and apply it as the final step in your morning skincare routine. Be sure to re-apply throughout the day to help ensure your skin remains protected.

Q. What does SPF 50+ mean?
A. SPF or ‘Sun Protection Factor’ is a rating that refers to a theoretical amount of time you can stay in the sun and be protected without getting burned, compared to unprotected skin. For example, SPF 50 theoretically allows you to stay in the sun with less risk of sunburn for fifty times longer than you would without sunscreen. But real life is not like a lab, and you still need to reapply your sunscreen every two hours, avoid direct sunlight as much as possible and to make sure that you're protected. Direct sun exposure can change the texture and elasticity in your skin, which can contribute to premature skin aging like wrinkles.

Q. What is very high protection sunscreen?
A. Very high protection SPF, like Sunny, refers to sunscreen that helps protect your skin from both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays reach the middle layer of the skin (the dermis) and are associated with skin ageing, while UVB rays affect the outer layer of the skin (the epidermis) and are associated with sunburn.

Q. What are UVA and UVB rays?
A. Ultraviolet A (UVA) is present all day, year-round. Even when it’s cloudy, UVA can penetrate the middle layer of the skin (the dermis), which plays a major role in skin ageing. It can even penetrate through glass windows. Ultraviolet B (UVB) is more prevalent in sunny conditions and is associated with burning of the outer layer of the skin (the epidermis). While exposure to UV rays can contribute to Vitamin D production, it’s important to wear sunscreen like Sunny every day to help protect your skin from sun damage.

Q. How are Bondi Sands SPF products tested and regulated?
A. All of our SPF products, including the Sunny range, are tested in line with UK and EU cosmetics regulations to ensure they meet industry standards. We work closely with our manufacturer and testing partners on the pre-market compliance process to ensure all product claims are substantiated with appropriate testing and evidence, including validated SPF and very high sun protection testing, and water resistance testing where relevant.

We are also proudly PETA-approved, and our products are not tested on animals at any stage of development.

SUN SAFETY: Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. Always wear a hat, protective clothing and sunglasses when exposed to the sun. Do not stay too long in the sun even while using a sunscreen product. Keep babies and young children out of direct sunlight. Over-exposure to the sun is a serious health threat. Using an insufficient amount of sunscreen will lower the level of protection significantly.
